BACKGROUND
Daily Harvest delivers sustainably-sourced, chef-crafted food built on fruits and vegetables. With the rise in popularity of plant-based milks they wanted to provide a healthy, convenient option that fit comfortably into their product offering. Facility helped envision how to shape these new products and integrate them into their brand.

STUDY
Daily Harvest delivered items frozen so we designed for concentrated, individual frozen portions of plant-based milk that customers could bring to life with water. This would provide an exciting and convenient new format - and no more spoiled milk.
STRATEGY
With individual portions the exterior packaging now had to be reusable and last in the freezer as long as there was product left.
EXPLORATION
A product similar to an ice tray meant that it would be intuitive, but it also needed a style in keeping with brand’s energy. Even the wedges of concentrated, plant-based milk had to be designed.
EXPLORATION
Facility got hard at work exploring wedge forms, tray configurations and packaging styles, all while considering the customer journey with this new product.

RESULT
Daily Harvest Mylk comes in a bold, debossed package with unique tear features for easy opening. The two trays inside hold playful wedge shapes that pop out easily - so you can add water and enjoy Mylk or even just add them to other Daily Harvest offerings like their smoothies. The trays can be kept safe and accessible in the freezer in the remaining packaging until it’s time to reorder.
